*Take a look at the picture directly above…It was inspired by the man who, in his acceptance speech as president-elect, promises to unite us. To bring the global community together. This would certainly be a remarkable feat seeing as he can’t even bring his own country together. Hey Mr. Trump, let’s start with your own neighborhood.
What a contrast the days following his election have shown juxtaposed to the 2008 election of president Barack Obama. Even though many voted otherwise, nothing overshadowed the feeling of celebration and positive energy. This happened with Obama’s re-election as well.
I, not unlike millions of others, can’t say the same about the days following Trump’s election. If it weren’t for the minute number of electoral votes needed (270) for the presidency, instead of the millions of popular votes given to Clinton, Trump would not have won. Now, half of the country appears to be in one big funk. People are protesting on the streets all over the country. Leaders from around the world who oppose his win are weighing in.
But worst of all, Trump’s victory has brought people who think like him out into the open with red hats replacing white sheets. He has inspired such hateful, nasty individuals my jaw continues to drop.
Donald, of all the celebratory tactics your people could have chosen to showcase the Republican victory — parades, confetti, some positive joyful acts; they chose to run amuck with disrespectful, hateful representations of your vision (Scroll down).
Your people have gone full frontal. When on earth did they grow such “balls”…? They’ve put a whole new spin on the term, “white trash.”
In their “Racism in America Has Only Gotten Worse Since Trump’s Victory” report, Esquire.com writes…
Immigrants [are] receiving letters under their doors to say they will be evicted because their building is now white Americans-only. Racist graffiti scribbled on the bathroom doors of high school–Maple Grove, Minnesota. Middle school students chanting “Build A Wall” in their cafeteria-Royal Oak, Michigan.
Middle school students, Donald.
The other day a female friend of African American descent shared on social media how a “wiry-haired, crocodile-skinned white man” (she referred to him later as ‘Ebenezer’ slithered behind her as she walked to the bank. He was uncomfortably close and made lewd comments to her – grab ’em by the pussy style – saying, as she describes, “in a rapey kind of way”…
“You look good. Real good.”
I wish I could send you her puke in an envelope via U. S. mail.
Another friend shared how she was at work on the day following your victory. And how whites made sure she was within earshot as they started carrying on about eating more fried chicken.
And then there’s the video a Black woman formerly in an interracial relationship took of a racial tirade her white ex was having, calling her nigger and saying, “That’s what Trump should do…The second he is elected [he should] give all you motherf—s tickets back Black Lives Matter go matter to f—ing Ghana … Go dig for f—ing diamonds over there. Have fun !”
Just look at the hate you have given rise to.
The hoods are off. Your people no longer give a phuck if anyone knows who they are.
And before I go any further, allow me to define YOUR people. I don’t make the mistake of generalizing. I know they don’t include ALL caucasians (Lord knows many white people loathe your viewpoint and did not vote for you!); but the supremacists did. And the few misguided people of color who are still somehow begging white people to accept them.
These are your people.
We always knew the racists, bigots, homophobes and misogynists were out there, but they generally always felt the need to hide behind something. No more.
And they all credit YOU, Donald, for a new sense of resurgence.
In a real ballsy Trump-inspired social media post, a local official gave kudos to the director of a nonprofit who said derogatory things about Michelle Obama.
“It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I’m tired of seeing a Ape in heels.”–Clay County Development Corp. director Pamela Ramsey Taylor
Clay Mayor Beverly Whaling responded: “Just made my day Pam.”
The letter below was left under a Black man’s door who lives in Queens New York.
On the flip side, luminaries are still trying to cope with your win.
“I decided I was going to wear something that made me look as vulnerable as I feel,” actress Tracee Ellis-Ross said to the crowd at the annual Glamour magazine’s Woman of the Year event in the wake of your victory. Ross wore a Fendi “nightie” and an underwire-free bra.
U2 frontman Bono, who referred to the election on Tuesday as “the first election not suitable for children. NC-17!” had a message for Donald to up his respect for women.
“I say to the president-elect: Look across to women. Make equality a priority. It is the only way forward. The train is leaving the station. Be on it or be under it.”
Donald Trump, you can’t possibly be feeling any sense of joy seeing what your election has inspired. Any human with red blood running through his veins would hang their head in shame. Not pride. You can’t fool us. With your oversized ego, it hurts.
I suggest you do more than say, “Stop it,” to your people. Perhaps you can ask president Barack Obama, who is willing to mentor you, to help you articulate something with, how shall I say, greater depth. That is, if you truly want the hate to stop.
Otherwise, we will all have to just sit back and watch the implosion.
